Safety equipment is compulsory and safety is paramount, with the objective of the training to exchange and improve students techniques, increase stamina and develop non-quitting spirit.
People of all ages, abilities and physical condition are able to participate in kumite.
Meditation in Seido Karate has no religious significance, but is inseparable from our physical training. True Karate strives to develop both the physical body and a calm, focused mind.
Shorter meditation is practiced at the start and end of every class, clearing the mind in order to focus on the training ahead.

Founded in only February 2016, Seido Sunnybank is one of the newest branches of the World Seido Karate Organisation and only the second branch in Queensland.
The first Queensland branch, Seido Brisbane, celebrated its 10 year anniversary in June 2015.
Seido Sunnybank is an affiliated branch of the World Seido Karate Organisation, with Honbu (headquarters) in New York City, USA and Shibu (region headquarters) of WSKO Australia in Sydney, NSW.
With experienced, professional instructors, teaching a standardised syllabus developed by world-renowned and respected karateka Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura, come and see just why Seido Karate is popular with people of all ages and abilities from all over the world*.
